7/29/2008RNC launches "BarackBook" website
Social networking websites are all the rage with the kids these days. With that in mind, the Republican National Committee today launched "BarackBook". The website - a play on the popular Facebook website - claims to highlight some of Barack Obama's questionable acquaintances, such as Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko. From the RNC press release: The social networking site highlights some of Barack Obama's notable associations throughout stages of his career, including his relationships with Tony Rezko, Nadhmi Auchi, and Alexi Giannoulias. Leveraging the popularity of social networking sites, BarackBook allows voters to explore Obama's connections with these individuals as well as their connections to one another using video and news articles.
BarackBook will be updated routinely between now and Election Day with additional, new Obama "friends." All considered, not a bad offering from the GOP that usually seems to run well behind the curve of what's "hip" and "cool" and "straight-up booty".
