From Angie in Westchester, IL:
Sarah Palin loaded the bases last week. McCain could've hit a grand slam. It did not happen. Many"pitches" were coming right over the plate. He connected with the ball but it wasn't good enough to get that ball out of the park.
So, McCain's performance was a bit like the Cubs?

No, I take that back. They didn't load the bases. Perhaps it's more like the White Sox.

Sorry, Sox & Cubs fans. Couldn't resist...

From C.L. in Galva, IL:
My opinion is whenever 'government' gets involved in any issue/program it ends of in a big mess.

Universal Healthcare would end up the same as Social Security running out of money and fixing problems with the system.

If Americans want the same healthcare as Canada and other countries around the world where patients have to wait in line to be treated or see a doctor or have surgery then Americans can expect the same here with Universal Healthcare. America has the best health care in the world and yet Mr. Obama wants to control that as well.

Government control the financial system, government control healthcare, government control the airlines, government control the utilities, government control oil companies, government control the auto industry and the list goes on and on. This my friends in SOCIALISM. Do Americans REALLY WANT THAT? Socialism hasn't worked in other countries and it won't work here in America.

Voters had better think about all of the above.

From Blair from somewhere:
Obama had deer in the headlights at times and nothing but platitudes as he always does. His true (boy in a man's body-manchild) character showed well..

Thanks for sharing and asking for my unbiased opinion.

Regards,

One(and I do say one, not two or three of four times of the same person voting ACORN folks) of the voting electorate.

You mean you're NOT also the starting lineup for the Dallas Cowboys football team!? Too bad...

From Kris, also from somewhere:
I liked what McCain had to say.

I pick McCain.

Eloquent in it's brevity, sir.
