Open Secrets Profile

Steve Greenberg, a successful businessman from Long Grove, IL., comes from the great American tradition of citizens who want to improve the lives of their families and neighbors through government service. As a Congressman, Steve will focus on reforming Washington, cutting taxes, making government more efficient, and keeping our families safe.

SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN
Steve serves on the management team of Promotions Unlimited, a family company that sells quality merchandise to small businesses competing with the big chains. At Promotions Unlimited, Steve has grown the customer base from 1,000 to 5,000 stores nationwide. Steve also owns and operates Herr's Pacific, a distributor of art materials and craft supplies. Through his companies, Steve has created hundreds of jobs in Illinois and across the country, and has learned first-hand how government policies can help small businesses. In addition to his business ventures, Steve serves on the board of Americans for Prosperity, a pro-jobs and pro-growth national organization.

PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE
Steve played professional hockey for the Hampton Roads Admirals, a minor league affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Only physical injury prevented Steve from playing in the National Hockey League. Steve will use the discipline, determination and teamwork that made him a winner on the ice to be an effective leader and advocate for change in Congress.

FAMILY MAN
Steve and his wife, Kristine, have been married for 14 years and have three children, Tyler, 13; Claire, 11; and Jack, 8. Tyler, Claire and Jack each attend local public schools and are involved in local sports. Steve is active in his community and has coached local youth hockey teams, including his kids' teams for several years.
