A third generation Christian Lebanese American, Bob, his parents and two sisters moved to the Chicago area when he was four and has lived in Barrington Hills since 1968. Bob and his wife Patricia are proud parents and grandparents -- and best pals with Newton, their Golden Retriever. Bob received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University, and was accepted into the US Navy Submarine Nuclear Weapons program; prior to his commission he chose instead to serve his country at Argonne National Laboratory in order to support energy/advanced nuclear reactor development. From Northwestern University Bob received his Masters of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering. For 20 years, Bob worked for ComEd as a Senior Nuclear Engineer, leaving to run RGA Labs, Inc., his own consulting, research-and-development, design and engineering firm. In 2001, Bob Abboud was elected as Barrington Hills Village Trustee, and in 2005 was elected President . Because the Village is in four counties, Bob has had unique experience at all levels of local government, working with County Boards, municipalities and the State government in Springfield, making him familiar with local issues and giving him critical legislative experience.
